A crypto wallet is an alternative to a physical wallet, which exists only in a digital form. Such a wallet is responsible not only for the safety of your coins, it also includes private and public keys that are necessary for conducting the transactions. Each wallet contains information about the availability of the user's coins.

A private key is a kind of password that looks like an alphanumeric string. You need the private key to access your wallet.

This information must be private and well-protected. Don’t show or send your private key to anyone, no one should ask you to do this!

A public key is a wallet address. It looks like an alphanumeric string too.

The wallet address is provided to other users. It is used to receive cryptocurrency.

To get your own cryptocurrency address we recommend visiting the official site of the coin you are interested in. Usually, every coin has an official wallet or a list of recommended wallets. Be careful choosing a wallet and try not to use an unverified service in order to avoid the loss of your coins.

Let's assume you have Bitcoin and you want to buy Ethereum. The recipient’s address is the wallet address to which ETH will be sent after the exchange. Each cryptocurrency has its own address type. When you enter the recipient’s address make sure you use the correct coin address.

There is an additional address feature necessary for identifying a transaction. For different cryptocurrencies it can have different names (MEMO, Destination tag, Payment ID, or Message).

This additional feature is needed because major exchange platforms (which are our partners) use for some cryptocurrencies one address for all traders, and a MEMO (or a Destination tag, or a Payment ID, or a Message) is used to determine which actual individual account should be assigned and to which a given transaction should be credited.

Each new transaction committed by users in the blockchain has its own unique ID number (or a transaction hash) that is assigned to the operation and will be stored in all the subsequent new blocks. Using this ID you can view the details of your transaction in the network. The transaction hash is usually displayed as “tx ID” in your wallet.

When a transaction is included in the blockchain, it becomes irreversible. Unfortunately, no one can cancel the transaction. So you have to be extremely careful and re-check all the data you entered before confirming the exchange.

The network fee is a commission that miners take to include your transaction in a block. Be careful and set up a sufficient amount of the network fee to complete your transaction successfully.

Exchange ID is a unique number of your exchange that contains alphanumeric characters. Exchange ID allows you to keep all the information about the swap and follow the stages of exchange. Contacting our support team, it is recommended to provide the Exchange ID to speed up the process of finding your exchange in our database.

After you press the “Exchange” button during the exchange creation, you will be provided with an Exchange ID on the exchange page.

You can also see Exchange ID in the browser address bar. For example, https: //simpleswap.io/exchange?id=rm3UipCYpn. The Exchange ID is rm3UipCYpn.

You need to save your Exchange ID or link to be able to return to your exchange data. You can also track your swap in the website footer.

A floating rate exchange is a classic cryptocurrency exchange type when the approximate receiving amount is shown at the time of the exchange creation. You can get either more or less coins than expected at the beginning of the floating rate exchange due to the volatile nature of the cryptocurrency market.

There are no restrictions for floating rate exchanges: you can make swaps for any amount of cryptocurrencies without strong limits of time for sending the deposit.

A fixed rate exchange is an exchange that allows you to receive exactly the estimated amount. The fixed rate exchange is independent of the market volatility. This means that changes in the coins rates do not affect the fixed rate exchange.

When you create the fixed rate exchange you have 20 minutes to send us a deposit. There is a time limit because of the fact that the coins rates can change at any time, so we are exposed to huge risks. However, we can guarantee the invariance of the amount you receive within 20 minutes from the exchange starts.

If you do not want to take risks and worry about the quick change of the cryptocurrency rate, then fixed rate exchanges will suit you. This way you can protect yourself from any fluctuations in the received amount.

In addition, we have achieved great success in the speed of fixed rate exchanges. It usually takes a little time from the moment of the deposit receipt to send the coins to the customer. It is very valuable that fixed rate exchanges are performed faster.

During a floating rate exchange, there is a possibility that the cryptocurrency rate may change for the worse or for the better. Thus, the amount you receive may also change - you can get either more or less coins than expected at the beginning of the exchange.

During a fixed rate exchange nothing can affect the amount you receive which was shown to you initially. These exchanges are protected from rate fluctuations and any market changes.

There are no restrictions for floating rate exchanges. However, setting upper limits is a necessary measure for fixed rate exchanges since we take all the risks of cryptocurrency volatility and this risk grows as the amount of coins rises.

The SimpleSwap system cannot know in advance which network fee will be taken from a specific transaction by coin’s blockchain. Therefore, it is impossible to display the amount you receive with the inclusion of the network fee. However, the coin’s network fee is usually so small that they almost do not differ from the amount that was shown initially. Thus we allow ourselves to say that you get exactly the amount that was displayed at the beginning of the exchange process.

The coin exchange time usually varies from 5 to 60 minutes. There are rare occasions when more time is needed. The processing speed depends on how long it takes for a block to be included in the network. Most operations proceed in just a few minutes.

The cryptocurrency exchange time varies from 5 to 60 minutes. However, sometimes a transaction takes more time, this could be due to a number of factors:

• Overload of the blockchain
• Periodical coin updates
• A certain number of confirmations is required to continue the exchange

There are 5 statuses for the crypto-to-crypto exchange:

• Waiting. This status means that you should send your coins to the indicated address;
• Confirming. You’ll see this status while your transaction gains the required number of confirmations in the coin’s network;
• Exchanging. As soon as we receive your coins, your exchange will be in progress, and you will see this status;
• Sending. This status will be shown while our system is sending you the exchanged coins;
• Finished. When your exchange is completed you will see this status.

Our service chooses the best available exchange rate. In case you have chosen a floating rate exchange, the rate during the transaction may slightly differ from the estimated rate due to the high volatility of the cryptocurrency. So the coin rate at the time of the exchange can both grow or fall.

You can choose a fixed rate exchange in order not to worry about a possible change in the cryptocurrency rate.

In case you have already created an exchange but changed your mind and didn’t send your coins to the dedicated address (status “Waiting”), you can just leave it like that – nothing will happen. There is no need to cancel the exchange.

However, if you have sent your coins to the indicated address – the process is irreversible and it is not possible to cancel your exchange at this stage.

The SimpleSwap doesn’t have limits for cryptocurrency exchanges. However, the network fee is charged by the blockchain for every transaction to be performed. So the sent amount must be sufficient to cover all the network fees.

We do our best to make the minimum amount for exchange the lowest for all coins available on our service.

Unfortunately, there is no opportunity to finish an exchange or guarantee a refund of coins if a deposit amount is less than the minimum one.

SimpleSwap does not have any limits for floating rate exchange. It means that you can swap as much crypto as you want.

There are cases when we conduct KYC of designated customers and/or transactions. This only happens if our system or our partners’ system recognizes the transaction as suspicious. KYC might be conducted based on internal Company policies and external requirements of governmental authorities or financial institutions.

• your full name, residential address, and phone number;
• a copy of your legal documents, such as an ID or a passport, a selfie of you holding the document;

When he came back another two months later, the first trade was not within the 90-day period, but the second trade was. John's third exchange amounted to 0.2 BTC, so his total within the 90-day window became 0.3 BTC (0.1 BTC from the second trade plus 0.2 BTC from the third). This means that John received the Silver level, and from now on he'll be getting 0.1% BTC cashback for every exchange until he reaches the next level.

In your Customer Account, you can see how much you've traded, what loyalty level you're on, and what exchange volume is necessary to get to the next level.

Once you reach a new loyalty level, the cashback you get and other bonuses will stick with you. Even if you don't trade as much later on, you still keep those rewards.
